I am a glass flameworking professional with diverse experience in glass flameworking, teaching, and presenting. I have degrees in mechanical engineering and computer science, and have always loved glass. My major life change came when I had the great opportunity to work in Corning, NY and was "smitten" by glass. My first date with my husband was a hands-on open house at The Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY. I left the "engineering-faith" so to speak to use the artistic side of my brain full time in 2006.
I have taught over 10 years at The Corning Museum of Glass and local studios. I have been a teaching assistant for world class glass artists such as Paul Stankard, Emilio Santini, Debbie Tarsitano, Loren Stump, etc. I have participated in juried shows and exhibits at the Glass Art Society Conference, West End Gallery, Clothesline, Arts in the Gardens, etc. My work has been published in magazines such as: The GlassLine Magazine, The Flow Magazine, LAMMAGA, The GlassBead Magazine, and the Canandaigua Magazine.
I now have my own studio in Honeoye, NY (the lovely Finger Lakes region).
